Seda wins European Carton Excellence Award 2026 with Da Vinci Clamshell
The patented paper-based foodservice solution wins the Food category, recognising Seda’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Seda International Packaging Group has won the Food category at the European Carton Excellence Awards 2026 with Da Vinci Clamshell, a patented paper-based packaging solution developed by the Group. Presented by Pro Carton and the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA), the award was announced at a ceremony in Rome on 17 September.
Da Vinci Clamshell rethinks the foodservice pack around the shape of the food and the way people use it. Its rounded top helps keep the product stable, while the inclined base makes it easier to grip and remove. An intuitive opening and closing system adds convenience for restaurant teams and consumers alike.
The design also supports efficient stacking and handling in high-volume foodservice settings. This latest award is further recognition of Seda’s sustained investment in research and its ability to turn innovation into practical, scalable paper-based packaging solutions. It reflects the Group’s focus on combining consumer experience, industrial performance and sustainability.
Da Vinci Clamshell is produced by Seda using cartonboard manufactured by MM Board & Paper.
