Diplomatic Corps Accredited to Italy Visits Seda’s Arzano Headquarters

The Group welcomes a delegation of ambassadors as part of an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to showcase Campania’s industrial excellence and international potential.

Arzano (Naples), 6 November 2026 – Seda International Packaging Group welcomed a delegation of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Italy to its headquarters in Arzano. The visit was part of a two-day programme in Naples involving 106 ambassadors, organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Neapolis 2500 National Committee, as part of the celebrations marking the 2,500th anniversary of the city’s founding.

The initiative forms part of Italy’s diplomacy for growth strategy, aimed at supporting the international expansion of Italian businesses, showcasing the region’s industrial and technological capabilities, and fostering new opportunities for cooperation with international markets.

The event opened with institutional remarks by Bruno Antonio Pasquino, Chief of Diplomatic Protocol of the Republic, and Mauro Battocchi, Director General for Growth and Export Promotion at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

“We are immensely proud and deeply honoured to welcome such a distinguished representation of the international diplomatic community to Seda,” said Antonio D’Amato, President and CEO of Seda International Packaging Group. “This is an important opportunity to share the story of a company founded in Naples which, through innovation, investment in research and the expertise of its people, has established itself in international markets while remaining firmly rooted in the industrial and cultural heritage of this region.”

During his presentation, D’Amato outlined the Group’s international development, with manufacturing operations spanning Europe and the United States, highlighting the contribution of technological innovation and sustainability to industrial competitiveness.

A central theme of his address was the strategic role of packaging, not simply as an industrial product, but as an essential infrastructure for food protection, consumer safety, resource conservation, and the reduction of food and water waste. D’Amato emphasised how innovation in materials, manufacturing technologies, and collection and recycling systems can make a tangible contribution to addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges, from food security to climate change.

Against this backdrop, the President highlighted Europe’s circular economy model, built on decades of industrial investment, research, innovation and cooperation between institutions and businesses. He also pointed to the opportunities for extending technologies and solutions internationally that can transform end-of-life materials into valuable new resources.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase to the international diplomatic community an industrial success story that, from its origins in Naples, has built a global presence through innovation, technological expertise and manufacturing excellence, demonstrating the contribution of Italian industry to the country’s competitiveness and international standing.
